You can humbly and honestly look back because there is the invitation to look up at the same time.

We all have regrets. Things we wish we hadn’t of done, said, or thought. We feel ashamed when we think about them. The moment we repent and receive Christ as Savior those things are forgiven. However, often we don’t feel it. We can look back, realize our wrong, and look up at how God used even those shameful moments to bring us to Him.

Psalm 103:11–12

[11] For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;

[12] as far as the east is from the west,

so far does he remove our transgressions from us. (ESV)

CONFESS that you won’t forgive in yourself what Jesus has already forgiven
